Since starting this program, I have been more engaged on Twitter (or trying to be). Through this, I have found Edutopia.org. Where has this been all my life? Am I the only one who has been in the dark about this site? Wow-that a plethora of resources at your fingertips. If you follow me on Twitter (@kstelter96), you will see I retweet a lot of what I see from Edutopia.There is just so much about anything and everything related to education. Most recently I read a post about homework vs no homework but I have read articles ranging from how to incorporate technology into the classroom to questions parents can ask their kids about their school days to bullying. There is tons there to read, as well as resources, and I have only skimmed the surface. I need more hours in a day so I can spend some quality time with Edutopia.

I also follow Edutopia! I have found their website to be a great resource, especially for our DSM course. The best thing is that you can search through article topics using their search bar. It makes finding articles really easy and quick. They also have a lot of “tips” articles for incorporating different technologies into the classroom.

I have heard of Edutopia and occasionally read an article, but I didn’t realize how many resources were available! I teach high school personal finance and found many resources and relevant articles I will be able to use the future. I also found tons of resources on flipped classrooms, which will come in handy for my group project. Thanks for sharing!

I have not seen Edutopia and feel silly that I have never found this before. What a wonderful wealth of information, blogs, and discussions. I love how it is broken down by grade. Sorting through twitter is a little tedious sometimes to find information that relates to my high school math and technology courses. So no Katrina, I was in the dark with you!

I will have to look more closely at edutopia! It sounds like they have some interesting articles over there. Your comment on homework vs. no homework reminded me of an article I read on Cult of Pedagogy (http://www.cultofpedagogy.com/dogfooding/). The article recommends that you actually do any homework you give your students. Not only does this allow you to work out the bugs, it also helps you think about whether or not the work you are assigning is actually meaningful. Thanks for the new source! I look forward to checking it out!
